Vivian Cooper is the main antagonist of Veritas.
Background
In 2009 Vivian's sister, Alison Cooper was involved in one of Elizabeth Vega's cases as senior special agent at Kelton Division. Alison was in deep with a local Kelton gang and during the case Alison was found dead in December of that same year, presumably killed by the gang when they found out Alison was talking to the bureau and giving them information on the gangs activities. Since then Vivian has held a grudge against the bureau and Elizabeth for letting her sister die when she believes they could have stopped it from happening. Now Vivian is hell bent on getting revenge on the bureau and Elizabeth for losing the only family she had left. She has been planning her run at the bureau for the past three years.
Vivian's occupation is unclear but she has links and connections to gangs and con artists in Kelton suggesting she may be a grifter.
Season One
In the pilot Vivian kills detective Evžen Měchura when he is cornered by Vega and her team for Joanne Dupré's murder to avoid him mentioning anything about her to the bureau. He was one of her associates and he covered up thefts and activities that Vivian carried out across the city which is why Dupré was investigating him.
